It is used as a diluent in lithographic,rotogravure, and textile printing. It used in the formulation of rubber-gum adhesives and cements. It is used as a carrier solvent in the formulation of agricultural insectisides and fungicides. It is used in artificial leather (proxylin) finishing and patent leather.
